Refund Policy

Effective Date: 23 July 2026

This Refund Policy explains how Kompsos Limited ("we", "our", "us") handles cancellations, returns, exchanges and refunds for orders placed through https://kompsos.co. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

This policy sets out two separate sets of rights. They are not alternatives — both may be available to you:

  • Changing your mind (Section 1) — a 14-day right to cancel for any reason, with no fault required.
  • Something is wrong with the item (Section 2) — your rights when goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described.

1. Changing Your Mind — 14-Day Right to Cancel

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you may cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive the goods. You do not need to give a reason, and there does not need to be anything wrong with the item.

How to cancel. Tell us within those 14 days, through our returns portal at https://returnsportal.shop/kompsos or by emailing support@kompsos.co. Any clear statement that you wish to cancel is sufficient.

Sending the goods back. Once you have told us, you have a further 14 days to send the goods back to us.

Handling the goods. You may handle and inspect the goods as you would in a shop. If you handle them beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, we may reduce your refund to reflect the reduction in value. We will explain any such deduction.

Your refund. We will refund the price of the goods plus the standard delivery charge you paid on your outbound order. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we refund the cost of our standard option, not the upgrade. We will issue your refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of receiving evidence that you have sent them, whichever is earlier. We aim to process refunds within two working days of receiving the return.

Return postage. You pay the cost of returning the goods to us, unless the item is faulty or was sent in error. A prepaid label may be offered for convenience, in which case its cost will be deducted from your refund and itemised.

1.1 What Cannot Be Cancelled Under Section 1

The 14-day cancellation right does not apply to:

  • Sealed earrings where the seal has been broken after delivery. Earrings are supplied sealed for hygiene reasons. If the seal is intact, they can be returned.
  • Goods personalised or made to your specification.
  • Digital gift cards, once issued.

2. Faulty, Damaged or Misdescribed Goods

Separately from the cancellation right above, if goods are faulty, damaged on arrival, not as described or not of satisfactory quality, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015:

  • Within 30 days of delivery — you may reject the goods and receive a full refund, including delivery costs.
  • Within 6 months of delivery — you may ask for a repair or replacement. If that is unsuccessful, you may claim a refund. During this period the fault is presumed to have been present at delivery unless we can show otherwise.
  • Up to 6 years from delivery (5 years in Scotland) — you may still have a claim, though you may need to show the fault was present at delivery.

We pay return postage for faulty items. Please contact support@kompsos.co with your order number and photographs of the item and its packaging.

Normal wear, tarnishing or discolouration arising from use, or from contact with water, cosmetics, perfume or chemicals, is not a manufacturing fault.

3. Proof of Purchase

Please include your order number, or the full name used to place the order, with any return. An order confirmation email is sufficient proof of purchase.

4. Return Authorisation and Address

Please file returns through our portal at https://returnsportal.shop/kompsos before sending anything back, so we can track your parcel and process your refund promptly.

Returns should be sent to:

Kompsos Limited 21–23 Chilworth Street, London, England, W2 3HA United Kingdom

We recommend a tracked service. Where you are exercising your right to cancel under Section 1, the goods remain at your risk until they reach us, so proof of posting is worth keeping.

5. Exchanges

If you would prefer an exchange, tell us when you file your return. Exchanges are subject to availability; if the item you want is unavailable we will refund you or, if you prefer, issue store credit.

6. Partial Refunds

We may reduce a refund to reflect a reduction in the value of goods caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect them. Where we do this, we will tell you the amount and the reason before processing the refund.

7. Gifts and Promotional Items

Items received as gifts can be exchanged or refunded as store credit to the value paid, on production of the order details.

Promotional items supplied free with a qualifying order should be returned along with the qualifying item. If they are not, we may deduct their value from your refund.

Digital gift cards cannot be refunded once issued. Please check recipient details carefully at the point of purchase.

8. International Returns

If you are returning goods from outside the UK, please mark the parcel clearly as "Returned Goods — British Origin" on the customs declaration, to avoid import charges being raised on us.

For orders shipped Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) — the United Kingdom, European Union and United States — any duties and import taxes included in your order price are refunded along with the price of the goods.

For orders shipped Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU), any duties or import taxes you paid directly to the carrier are not refundable by us. You may be able to reclaim them from your local customs authority.

Delivery charges are refunded in accordance with Sections 1 and 2 above.

9. Failed Deliveries and Missing Address Information

Where an order cannot be delivered because required recipient information was not supplied, or was supplied incorrectly, our Shipping Policy sets out what happens and what, if anything, is deducted from your refund. See the section headed Destination-Specific Address Requirements.

10. Refund Method and Currency

Refunds are made to your original payment method. If that method is no longer available, we will agree an alternative with you.

Refunds are processed in the currency in which you paid. We are not responsible for changes in exchange rates between purchase and refund, or for fees charged by your bank or card issuer.

11. Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or any mandatory consumer protection law of the country or state in which you are habitually resident.

12. Purchases from Other Retailers

This policy covers purchases made directly through https://kompsos.co. If you bought a Kompsós product through a third-party marketplace or stockist, please contact them — their returns policy applies.

13. Complaints

If you believe a return or refund has been handled incorrectly, contact us at support@kompsos.co. We aim to acknowledge within two working days and resolve within 14 days. Our Terms of Service set out what to do if we cannot resolve matters between us.
